"Hawaiian teenage surfer Makua Rothman rides the 66 foot wave on November 26, 2002 that hit Jaws Maui, winning the Billabong XXL Award worth $66,000. Garrett McNamara takes the Best Overall Performance Award for his incredible barrel at Jaws on the same day, and for another unbelievable wave at Teahupoo Tahiti earlier in the year. Toby Cunningham wins the Biggest Paddle-In Award for a monster at Todos Santos, Mexico.
